仕事内容: About the Company ・Scalei Inc. is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan ・We support Japanese learners in improving their English-speaking skills ・Our goal is to help each student expand their possibilities through English Company Website: https://www.scalei.co.jp/ Service Website: https://speak-out.info/index.html Our Mission ・Enrich people’s lives through the power of dreams ・Become a trusted leading partner who stands beside each student ・Support each student with care, encouragement, and understanding ・Help students gain the confidence to speak English ・Make their dream of communicating in English a reality Job Description ・Conduct 15-minute one-on-one English conversation sessions via Zoom ・Create a comfortable environment where students feel safe speaking English ・Encourage students to speak as much as possible without being afraid of making mistakes ・Ask questions and provide conversation prompts ・Provide simple hints, examples, or alternative expressions when needed ・Recognize students’ strengths and small improvements ・Write brief feedback after each session using a company-provided template These sessions are not traditional English lessons focused on teaching new vocabulary or grammar. They are designed as an opportunity for students to practice using the words and expressions they have already learned in real conversations. The teacher’s main role is to help students feel comfortable, speak without fear of making mistakes, and use as much English as possible. Session Time and Compensation ・English conversation session: 15 minutes ・Written feedback: approximately 5 minutes ・Total estimated working time per session: approximately 20 minutes ・Starting compensation: JPY 520 per session ・Opportunities for pay increases based on experience, performance, and results Materials and Feedback ・Conversation topics are provided by the company ・A feedback template is provided by the company ・Teachers are not required to create materials from scratch What We Value During the Session ・Encourage the student to speak more than the teacher ・Create an atmosphere where students feel that it is okay to make mistakes ・Value the student’s effort to communicate in English ・Use specific and positive words of encouragement ・Create a warm and comfortable experience ・Help students feel motivated to speak English again Our Students ・Most students are Japanese English learners in their 50s to 80s ・Many students are beginners ・Many students are not yet comfortable speaking English ・Many students lack confidence in their speaking ability ・Students need patient, warm, and positive support Equipment and Work Environment ・Your own desktop or laptop computer ・A stable internet connection ・A working camera and microphone ・A quiet and appropriate environment for online sessions Please note: ・Sessions may not be conducted using only an iPad, tablet, or smartphone ・Japanese language ability is not required Working Schedule ・Open session slots on at least two days per week ・Open at least six session slots per week ・Availability during weekday evenings and weekends is preferred ・Long-term and consistent availability is preferred Available Session Hours ・Sessions may be offered from early morning until late at night on both weekdays and weekends, depending on student demand ・All session times are based on Japan Standard Time Scheduling System ・Teachers open the days and time slots when they are available to conduct sessions ・Students book sessions directly from the available time slots ・Teachers can manage their availability based on their own schedules ・Teachers are expected to open session slots regularly and consistently ・Availability during weekday evenings and weekends is preferred ・The number of actual sessions may vary depending on student bookings ・A specific number of bookings or sessions is not guaranteed ・Teachers are not required to find or recruit their own students Work Location ・Fully remote ・Work from home or another quiet location ・A stable internet connection is required Contract Type ・Independent contractor position ・This is not an employee position ・Contractors are generally responsible for managing their own taxes and any required filings Details regarding training time and compensation will be explained during the interview.
